Movera launches academy to support conveyancing talent

Published on

Movera, the group behind ONP Solicitors, has launched a new flexible training academy following the successful completion of its first cohort.

The initiative marks an evolution in the company’s approach to training, combining remote, hybrid and in-person formats into a single, integrated model designed to suit learners at all stages of their careers.

It builds on the foundations laid by Movera’s earlier academies, which were first introduced two years ago to support individuals with no prior experience entering the conveyancing profession.

Amanda Wright (pictured), training specialist at Movera, described the new programme as “a game-changer”, adding: “We’ve listened to what learners and the industry need: tailored pathways, digital-first delivery, and options that fit different lifestyles. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from our first intake shows we’re on the right path.”

ORIGINAL FOCUS

The company’s original training programmes focused on teaching new entrants how to handle basic conveyancing cases. These proved effective in creating a dependable pipeline of talent.

Movera later expanded its training offer to meet growing demand for flexible, role-specific learning. This included a five-week ‘Property Lawyer Academy’ for individuals with partial experience, as well as a remote option for more seasoned professionals.

These pilot schemes have now been consolidated into a new, streamlined system that Movera says reflects changing professional expectations and accommodates diverse learning styles.

The company reported strong engagement from its first intake under the new model, which completed training this spring, with early indicators suggesting a smooth transition into the workplace.

SCALEABLE STRATEGY

With preparations already under way for its next cohort, Movera is positioning the academy as a long-term strategy to reinforce the sector’s talent pool and provide a scalable response to workforce challenges. The training is part of Movera’s broader ambition to modernise conveyancing by equipping staff with both the technical and digital skills needed in today’s property market.

The launch comes at a time of ongoing transformation across the legal and property sectors, with increased demand for remote working capabilities and technology-enabled services. Movera’s academy aims to bridge the skills gap by offering more accessible and adaptive training routes.

By embedding flexibility into the core of its programme, Movera is seeking not only to attract a broader range of candidates but also to retain them by supporting their development in a way that reflects the realities of modern working life.

Movera’s next academy intake is expected to begin later this year.
