Mortgage industry legends back Take Me Home Christmas Charity Concert

Published on

Support continues to build for what’s shaping up to be the mortgage industry’s biggest charitable event of the year as three sector legends throw their backing behind the Take Me Home Christmas Charity Concert.

The event – the brainchild of Kevin Duffy, managing director of Mortgageforce UK – will take place on 26 November in the City of London and is already close to selling out.

Mortgage industry stalwarts Nigel Stockton (main picture, inset, and now of TrinityBridge fame), Shawbrook’s Miguel Sard and Chetwood Bank’s interim mortgages MD Alan Cleary have all pledged their support, adding serious star power to the festive fundraiser, which aims to bring the sector together in aid of charity.

Duffy said the trio’s involvement has given the event an extra spark of energy and inspiration: “We are presently finalising the musical content and, by way of an eclectic homage to these three icons, we’ll be working in some tracks from The Specials, Santana and The Pogues. I can do no more!”

And he added: “Endorsements from three titans such as these mean so much — and with the concert now almost sold out, excitement is really building.”

Cleary said: “We are very much looking forward to this sell-out event — it’s a truly great cause.”

The Take Me Home Christmas Charity Concert promises to be a highlight of the industry calendar — uniting colleagues, competitors and friends from across the sector for a night of music, goodwill and festive spirit.

UNITED EFFORTS

The event follows the success of the Ukraine Aid concert in 2022 which brought together the mortgage industry to raise tens of thousands of pounds in humanitarian support.

Beyond the music, the evening will also be a powerful networking opportunity for the sector.

Last year, nearly 136,000 young people in the UK sought help from their local council due to homelessness.

Funds raised will provide direct support and prevention programmes in London and nationwide.
