More 2 Life to hold later life lending symposiums

Published on

More 2 Life is to run a series of later life lending symposiums this September with Key Partnerships and AiR Group.

The equity release lender said the seminars are aimed at all financial advisers, from those who are considering offering later life lending options to their clients and would like to know more about the advice process, to more experienced specialist equity release advisers looking for help with advanced marketing skills to promote their services further.

Attendees will be able to opt for one of three ‘streams’ available at each of the symposiums, with one stream targeted at beginners, one at intermediates and one at specialist equity release advisers. All attendees will also get the chance to hear from marketing specialist, Philip Calvert, who will be running a marketing masterclass workshop, as well as a guest speaker from the Equity Release Council.

There will also be the chance to win a free marketing consultation with Moreish Marketing, a financial services marketing agency.

Stuart Wilson, corporate marketing director at More 2 Life, said: “At More 2 Life, we recognise the importance of finding new ways for advisers to enhance and strengthen their business. With our series of symposiums, attendees will not only benefit from expert training and updates on the later life lending market, but will also learn how they can utilise marketing techniques to their advantage. In today’s digital age, it’s vital for advisers to understand how channels such as social media can be used to grow their business and highlight the value which equity release can bring to older borrowers.

“Through our seminars, we are aiming to help more advisers better understand the later life lending market and see how they can grow and develop their proposition further. As the market continues to expand – our recent research revealed that the over-55s will borrow £548bn by 2029 – this promises to be an area of endless opportunity for advisers looking to widen their offering.”

Jason Ruse, head of Key Partnerships, added: “These events will help advisers better understand the equity release market and the options out there to help them build their business – from equity release referrals right through to taking the CeMap qualifications. With an increasing proportion of over-55s looking to housing equity to help them meet their needs in retirement, it is vital that more advisers are in a position to support this growing market.”

Gary Little, commercial director at Air Group, added: “We need to work together to help build the equity release market and this series of events which looks to help advisers develop a range of essential skills including lead generation is extremely valuable.

“Useful marketing techniques and allowing advisers to get to grips with the technology and systems which are out there to support them is a fantastic way to help advisers further understand the equity release sector.”
