ModaMortgages appoints two new BDMs

Published on

ModaMortgages has hired Shannon O’Malley and Thomas Churchill as business development managers (BDMs).

O’Malley previously worked with Landbay as a telephone BDM, with the new role her first step into a field-based role. She will be covering the South East of England.

Churchill, meanwhile, will cover the South West, South Midlands and South Wales. He has a decade’s experience in the industry having previously worked for Co-operative Bank, where he spent over five years and rose the position of key account relationship manager, and before as a BDM for TSB Bank.

O’Malley and Churchill join fellow BDMs Bec Murray and George Morgan, as well as senior BDM Becki Fraser-Tucker.

The BDMs report into Scott Phillips, head of sales, while Darrell Walker, ModaMortgages’ director of sales and distribution, oversees the entire sales and BDM team, along with distribution.

ModaMortgages is the soon-to-launch specialist buy-to-let mortgage lender from Chetwood Financial, a Wrexham-based digital bank founded in 2016.

Walker said: “We’re hugely passionate about building a diverse team – one that blends youth with experience and shares the goal of making ModaMortgages the home of ‘smarter, faster, simpler’ BTL mortgages. Shannon and Thomas are wonderful additions to our team, and this increases our coverage across all regions of England and Wales, which will ensure we deliver the best possible support to brokers nationwide as we prepare for our launch.”
