MIMHC launches fifth annual mental health and wellbeing survey

Published on

The Mortgage Industry Mental Health Charter (MIMHC) has launched its fifth annual Mental Health and Wellbeing Survey, which opened this week and will remain live until Friday 4th July 2025.

Now in its fifth year, the survey continues to play a vital role in highlighting the real experiences of professionals working across the mortgage and wider financial services sector.

From advisers and underwriters to BDMs, CEOs and support teams, the survey captures how industry pressures, workplace demands and personal wellbeing intersect at every level.

MEANINGFUL CHANGE

MIMHC’s aim is to collect candid insights that inform meaningful change – whether that’s raising awareness, shaping training programmes or encouraging more open conversations about mental health across the sector.

Insights from previous years have already driven tangible progress. Dozens of firms have used the findings to introduce or strengthen support initiatives, from appointing mental health first aiders to implementing wellbeing policies and flexible working practices.

This year’s survey builds on that momentum, offering the industry another opportunity to listen, learn and improve.

Jason Berry, Co-founder of MIMHC and Group Sales Director at Crystal Specialist Finance, said: “We know that many in our sector continue to work long hours under intense pressure.

“This survey gives everyone – regardless of role or seniority – a safe space to express how they’re really feeling.

“Our industry is only as strong as its people, and the data we gather will be invaluable in shaping a more compassionate, productive environment for all.”

This year’s survey results will be published via a ‘White paper’ in July and shared with signatories, trade press and industry leaders to promote continued improvements in mental health awareness, workplace culture and support services.

Participation is completely anonymous, and it takes less than 5 minutes to complete.
