Metro Bank is to open its 13th store outside of London on 23 November.

The new branch is at 5 Broad Street Mall, Reading, Berkshire, an edition to Reading’s Ethel Austin unit.

Metro Bank will be putting on two days of entertainment including stilt walkers, popcorn, balloons and music.

Metro Bank is open 8am – 8pm Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm Saturday and 11am – 5pm Sunday and bank holidays, 361 days a year.

Further stores in Watford, Ealing, Staines, Epsom and Hemel Hempstead are set to open soon.

Craig Donaldson, CEO of Metro Bank, said: “The Metro Bank revolution is still storming ahead and we are excited about opening yet another store out of London. We’ve had huge support from local businesses already and are recruiting for around 25 exceptional employees to help us bring Metro Bank’s revolutionary style of banking to Reading. We can’t wait to welcome local customers and businesses to our brand new store in the Broad Street Mall.

“We’d like to welcome all local individuals and businesses to come and help us celebrate. Metro Bank has and continues to bring a completely new, convenient and customer focused way of banking and we look forward to our Reading store becoming a centre point of the community and making a difference to the way that the town banks.”
