MBE London supports Mortgage Sleep Out

Published on

Mortgage Business Expo (MBE) will be supporting the Mortgage Sleep Out at the Barbican on Wednesday 10th October and in the run up to the event.

The Mortgage Sleep Out will take place on Friday 30 November and aims to bring together the mortgage industry in one united voice to raise awareness on the growing plight of homelessness across the UK and raise vital funds to support End Youth Homelessness, which is the first UK-wide network of local charities focused on tackling youth homelessness.

The Sleep Out has already had a positive response from the lending industry with support coming from companies such as Brightstar Financial, Clever Lending, Vida Homeloans, Foundation Homeloans, Keystone Property Finance, Leeds Building Society and the London Institute of Business & Finance.

Nick Connolly, managing director of End Youth Homelessness, said: “The Mortgage Sleep Out is a brilliant idea. It recognises that youth homelessness can end. If we all do our bit and give homeless young people meaningful opportunities, they can overcome their dire circumstances and stand on their own two feet.”

Mike Mikunda (pictured) from MBE added: “We are excited to announce our support for this very worthwhile charity that will improve the lives of so many young and homeless people in our society. The MBE is ideally placed to help promote awareness of the Mortgage Sleep Out as so many professionals in our industry will be at the Expo. We’ll also actively promote the event through our marketing and social media campaigns.

“MBE provides the ideal environment for delegates to interact with industry experts and hear the latest thinking on a range of important topics. MBE has always been a great place for topical discussions and could help introducer firms to develop their business further through a better understanding of the market.”
