MBE London sees visitor numbers rise as organisers plan 2026 return

The Mortgage Business Expo (MBE) London 2025 drew a record crowd of brokers, lenders and service providers, with visitor numbers up more than 7% on last year’s event.

Held at the Business Design Centre on 14 October, the event continued its long-standing partnership with the Financial Intermediary & Broker Association (FIBA), offering attendees a mix of panel discussions, networking and exhibition stands. Visitors spent an average of five hours at the show, reflecting strong engagement across the day.

This year’s programme featured a keynote address from Rob Elder of the Bank of England on the economic outlook, followed by a market overview session chaired by Rob Barnard, intermediary relationship director at Pepper Money. Other sessions covered regulated bridging, specialist finance, later life lending and the role of technology in supporting advisers.

Event director Mike Mikunda said: “It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout for MBE London this year. The event continues to go from strength to strength, and the feedback from brokers and exhibitors speaks for itself.

“We’re already looking forward to bringing the show to Manchester next July before returning to London again in October.”

Martin Reynolds, chief executive of SimplyBiz Mortgages and chairman of FIBA, added: “We really enjoyed another successful event. The panel debates and presentation sessions offered both variety and meaningful insight on a variety of topics and market dynamics.

“The exhibition hall was busy and at the FIBA stand we enjoyed many positive conversations about what we are trying to achieve, as well as an interest from advisers in extending their product offering to clients.”

Following this year’s success, organisers have confirmed that MBE North will take place on 9 July 2026, followed by MBE London on 20 October 2026. Both events are expected to feature expanded exhibition areas and refreshed seminar programmes focused on practical insight and intermediary support.
