MBE Leeds Expo to include FIBA forum

The Financial Intermediary & Broker Association (FIBA) is to hold a panel-based forum at the Mortgage Business Expo (MBE) Leeds on Wednesday 1 May at the Royal Armouries.

The debate will cover the opportunities for intermediaries and lenders in the current specialist property finance market.

Adam Tyler (pictured), executive chairman of FIBA, will chair the forum and will be joined by a panel of industry figures with representatives from Octopus Property, Connect Mortgages, MT Finance and Knowledge Bank to answer questions from intermediaries and help them get a greater understanding of the lending industry.

Tyler said: “This is a special industry debate that does make a difference and follows on from our success in 2018 with our Industry Forum events and this is a great opportunity to further collaborate with the Mortgage Business Expo after a really successful event here in Leeds last year.”

Companies lined up to exhibit at the event include Barclays, Together Money, Keystone Property Finance, Metro Bank, One Family Lifetime Mortgages, Stonebridge, IFAC Limited, Key Partnerships and more2life. The Bath, Beverley, Coventry, Darlington and Principality building societies will also be present.

Free registration is now open for brokers, IFAs and financial intermediaries to attend in order to meet a range of lenders and service providers to help them find out about the latest products to help their customers.

Mike Mikunda from MBE said: “We are delighted to be running another FIBA forum at the Leeds Expo. We’ve an excellent selection of industry experts to help introducers and brokers to further their understanding of the current market and gain valuable CPD hours too.

“With a strong finance community in Yorkshire, it will be beneficial for brokers, IFAs and introducers to talk directly with specialist lenders and service providers about their latest mortgages and more specialist products. It’s going to be a very well attended Expo and I would encourage those in the region involved in finance to register for free now.”
