Many landlords ignorant of insurance options

Over 25% of landlords still don’t have, or are unaware of, landlords insurance, Paymentshield has claimed.

A recent YouGov survey, commissioned by Paymentshield, showed that 23% of landlords did not have landlords insurance while 6% were unsure what insurance they had altogether.

Landlords insurance protects assets inside the property and the building itself, as well as other risks in letting a property, such as loss of rental income.

Last month, the Association of Residential Letting Agents reported that 55% of letting agents believe that demand for rental properties have outstripped supply.
