LMS adds Bath BS to its lender network

Published on

LMS has added Bath Building Society to its lender network, with the mutual joining the Panel Link platform as part of a move to streamline and secure its conveyancing processes.

The partnership brings Bath Building Society onto LMS Panel Link, a service that connects lenders with law firms that meet defined quality, security and compliance standards. The platform provides ongoing due diligence and supports more digitised case progression across the conveyancing process.

The Bath has more than 120 years’ experience of supporting homebuyers and members. Through its partnership with LMS, the society is aiming to improve efficiency and security during the conveyancing journey.

It will make use of a number of services available through Panel Link, including Secure Link and LMS’s charge registration service.

Secure Link is designed to simplify both the post-offer query process and redemption statement requests. A lender-approved knowledge base allows law firms to access answers to common post-offer questions immediately, helping to reduce delays and limit the need for less secure, manual communication.

For redemption statements, law firms can submit requests through a structured dropdown menu, supplying key borrower and account information. Lenders can then create and upload the statement directly to the platform, where it can be accessed securely by the law firm.

Under the charge registration service, LMS obtains updates directly from HM Land Registry, reducing the need for back-and-forth communication with conveyancers and helping to streamline completion.

Suzanne O’Connor (pictured), chief relationship officer at LMS, said: “As always, we are proud to welcome another lender to Panel Link, particularly one that is so long-standing and committed to keeping its customers at its heart.

“We look forward to working with Bath Building Society, increasing efficiencies and security for its members.”

Craig Brown, chief mortgage officer at Bath Building Society, added: “We are passionate about knowing our customers and understanding their individual needs.

“To be able to offer such a personal service, we continue to grow and evolve, making it easier for members to use our services. Therefore, working with LMS was the obvious next step.

“With Panel Link, we’ll be able to offer our members extra peace of mind when it comes to their conveyancing journey while also making it more efficient for everyone involved.”
