Lloyds Banking Group has appointed Frances Cassidy to the role of head of strategic & technology partnerships, as the banking giant continues to strengthen its leadership in the intermediary mortgage sector.

Cassidy (main picture), who will join in the summer, brings two decades of experience in financial services, most recently serving as head of mortgage intermediary partnerships at Barclays.

During her time there, she led national account strategies and oversaw teams across both the Barclays and Kensington brands.

Her appointment comes after the departure of Claire Cherrington in March. She will report to Esther Dijkstra, managing director, intermediaries.
