LendInvest Mortgages has promoted Rod McPherson to head of distribution and created a new business development patch in East London to be led by Paige Archer.

McPherson (pictured), who joined the specialist mortgage platform in 2023 as business development manager for Scotland, will now oversee LendInvest’s engagement with more than 30 mortgage clubs and networks across the UK.

His promotion follows a two-decade career in the property sector, with a particular focus on the Scottish market.

Speaking on his new role, McPherson said he was eager to build on the lender’s key intermediary partnerships. “The mortgage clubs and networks that we work with are an integral part of LendInvest’s success,” he said.

“My goal is to ensure we’re collaborating closely with our partners and internal teams to educate, innovate, and find solutions that help brokers confidently close even the most complex cases.”

Paula Mercer, director of sales at LendInvest, welcomed the appointment. “Rod’s deep industry knowledge and accessibility makes him the perfect fit to take on our head of distribution role,” she said.

“Since joining us, Rod has been all over Wales, England and Scotland, educating and connecting with brokers and always taking the time to understand their goals.”

Paige Archer

Alongside McPherson’s promotion, the company has created a dedicated patch for East London, to be covered by Paige Archer, who began her career at LendInvest seven years ago as a receptionist at its London office. Archer’s new remit will include Romford, Southend-on-Sea, Bromley, Dartford and parts of south west London.

“As an Essex gal through and through, I’m absolutely thrilled to be taking on this new patch,” said Archer.

“East London is a great area with so much potential, and I’m excited to be supporting brokers to achieve their clients’ property goals, whether it be expanding their portfolio, remortgaging, a product transfer or purchasing their first home.”

Archer’s appointment marks the latest step in a steady ascent within the firm. Mercer highlighted her broad experience within the company, saying: “Paige has dedicated her career to property finance. She has unique insight into the market and the complex needs of specialist customers through her various roles within the company.

“Paige is passionate about the service she provides to her intermediaries, and I’m so excited to see her take that passion and experience into East London.”
