LendInvest completes homebuyer mortgage offer in three days

LendInvest has completed a mortgage offer in three days for a couple looking to purchase their next home.

The couple – who had mixed incomes from a variety of sources including their limited company, part-time work, child benefit and personal independence payments – were able to get a £135,995 residential mortgage on a two-year fixed rate towards the purchase of the new home.

They received an offer in under three days after their broker submitted an application, which they then proceeded with into the legal process.

Thanks to its purpose-built portal, which automates previous manual checks, LendInvest’s underwriters were able to work quickly and through the deal, giving the broker’s customers the assurance they needed that they would get their mortgage.

Sophie Mitchell-Charman (pictured), commercial director at LendInvest, said: “This case is a perfect example of what we are trying to achieve with our residential mortgage range; give customers what other lenders may not, support them to purchase their next home, and give them the confidence to know we can process it quickly.

“This is just one example of the speed of our residential mortgage range, with the same underwriter having different examples of offers delivered in just seven or nine working days.

“What stands out about this particular mortgage application is how we took each income source as part of our affordability calculation and were comfortable in their ability to pay their mortgage. This is what lenders need to be doing to help more people realise the dream of their next home.”
