LendInvest Capital boosts team

LendInvest Capital, the fund management and advisory division of LendInvest, has appointed Jesse Mosebye from Scotiabank.

The business, formerly Montello, has specialised in direct and secured real estate lending strategies since 2008. It is expanding its team to accommodate growing investor interest in its strategy to capitalise on a bank funding deficit in the UK real estate lending market, targeting the sub-£5 million loan bracket. March 2016 was a record-breaking month for the team with total FUM increasing by 12% during the month.

The team manages over £85 million in two discretionary funds on behalf of institutional investors, banks, family offices and private clients located throughout the UK, Europe and Asia.

LendInvest Capital’s flagship fund, the Real Estate Opportunity Fund, is a Luxembourg-based SICAV which has returned between 8 and 10% each year since inception.

Mosebye joins LendInvest from Scotiabank where he spent five years in the European Capital Introductions team building investor relationships for the prime brokerage team’s hedge fund and asset management clients. He will work closely with Carl Giannotta, associate director, to broaden the team’s investor relationships among larger institutions including hedge funds, FoHFs and asset managers.

Rod Lockhart, managing director of LendInvest Capital, said: “Jesse joins LendInvest Capital at an exciting time when interest is surging from investors attracted to our income-led, low volatility investment proposition. Jesse’s experience is a great fit for the LendInvest Capital team and his investor network complements our existing relationships very well.”
