Lendinvest appoints underwriting director and BDM

LendInvest has recruited a new director of mortgage underwriting and expanded its business development manager team.

Gene Clohessy (pictured) joins as director of mortgage underwriting and will be leading the drive it improve its underwriting processes and communication channels.

She has over 18 years’ experience, having previously worked for a range of banks including Bank of Ireland, Allied Irish Banks, and most recently Shawbrook Bank, where she worked as a senior divisional credit Manager within the buy-to-let team.

LendInvest has also hired Jan Gallagher as a business development manager, who will be responsible for sourcing deals across the North West of England.

Gallagher over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry as both a broker and a BDM.

She joins from Vida Homeloans, where she most recently worked as a sales manager. Over the last 30 years, she has worked in a series of business development roles including regional sales manager for Foundation Home Loans, and corporate sales manager for Masthaven.

She will work alongside existing BDM for the North West, Sophie Mitchell-Charman, who joined the business in 2017.

“Gene and Jan bring a wealth of experience in their respective areas to their teams; experience that will not only bolster our quality of origination in an area we are seeing a lot of demand, but also provide a superior, tailored experience for brokers and borrowers throughout the underwriting process.”
