Leeds Building Society is promoting pin badges at all its 65 branches across the UK during May and June to raise valuable funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

For a £1 donation people will be helping the 910 people who will hear the news today that they have cancer.

Clara White, fundraising manager at Macmillan Cancer Support, said: “We are really delighted that Leeds Building Society is supporting Macmillan by selling our pin badges. There are three separate designs to choose from – which are dogs, boots and the Macmillan logo.

“The money raised will make a real difference to the lives of people living with cancer. They are a great way to show your support.”

Leeds Building Society also supports Macmillan by taking part in their World’s Biggest Coffee Morning each September, and the mutual’s branches raised over £900 via a pin badge campaign last summer.

Trevor Garside, Leeds Building Society’s Head of Branch Network, said: “It’s great news that we are continuing our long standing and successful relationship with Macmillan Cancer Support.

“We are confident the pin badges, with three separate designs to choose from, will prove popular with customers across our national branch network during the rest of May and throughout June.”
