The Leeds appoints new BDM

Published on

The Leeds Building Society has added its intermediary mortgage team with the appointment of a new business development manager (BDM).

Cheryl Westoby has been appointed as BDM for Leeds, North and South Yorkshire. She takes up this position after five years managing the mutual’s branch in York, part of a financial services career spanning three decades.

This appointment is part of an investment in service to give each broker their own named BDM, to provide dedicated personal support to three times as many intermediaries. This personally-tailored service sees all the Society’s BDMs covering smaller, regionalised patches.

“After more than 30 years in financial services I am delighted to be taking up a role with Leeds Building Society as a BDM and look forward to supporting the development of key intermediary relationships,” said Westoby (pictured).

“I’m looking forward to supporting more borrowers and brokers in Leeds, North and South Yorkshire.”

“The Society continues to benefit from robust growth in mortgage lending and Cheryl’s appointment is another demonstration of our commitment to strengthening our service proposition,” said Martese Carton, Leeds Building Society’s head of intermediary distribution.

“The changes we’ve introduced enable us to offer an enhanced, more personal service to make working with the Society as easy as possible.”
