Landbay to host webinar on the economic outlook for 2026

Buy-to-let lender Landbay is set to host a webinar examining the economic forces expected to shape the UK property market over the year ahead.

The online Spotlight session, taking place on Friday 9 January at midday, will feature Simon French, chief economist at Panmure Liberum, alongside John Goodall, chief executive officer at Landbay.

Open to mortgage market stakeholders, particularly advisers, the one-hour discussion will focus on interest rates, recent global developments and the broader fiscal and monetary trends likely to influence the UK economy and property sector in 2026.

The webinar will be hosted by Goodall, with French providing a data-led assessment of economic conditions. The session will explore what current policy settings and global events could mean for growth, inflation and advisers’ clients over the coming year.

French is chief economist at Panmure Liberum, is consistently ranked among the City of London’s leading economists in the II and Extel surveys, and writes a monthly column for The Times.

John Goodall

Goodall said: “Advisers are entering 2026 with plenty of open questions around rates, growth and how the wider global outlook might impact our market and clients.

“This session is about cutting through the noise and looking clearly at what the data is telling us and where we might be heading as a result.

“By bringing Simon’s superb economic view together with the realities of what this all means for the UK property market, we want to help advisers feel better prepared for the conversations they are having with their clients.”

Further details and registration information are available via Landbay’s website.
