Kuflink Bridging has announced the appointments of Richard Clare and Stuart Boag to its underwriting team as senior underwriters.

The lender, part of The Kuflink Group, has also recruited two new case managers, Debbie Paxton and Clare Smith.

Clare has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, having started his career at Halifax, where he was a mortgage desk manager for 12 years, he spent four years at Southern Pacific Mortgages followed by two years at Rooftop Mortgages as relationship manager. He gained direct experience of the bridging industry for three years as a senior underwriter for Pure Bridging. Two years at Saffron Building Society as lending manager was followed by being appointed as senior underwriter at Amicus PLC from where he joined Kuflink.

Boag joins Kuflink with four years’ experience in the short-term lending market having previously held roles at Amicus PLC and Commercial Acceptances. Prior to this he worked for The Royal Bank of Scotland for 14 years, with the final seven years working as a portfolio manager within the real estate team. He held the position of assistant lending manager at Commercial Acceptances and more recently as a development monitoring manager at Amicus PLC, heading up the monitoring for its development portfolio.

Narinder Khattoare, group operations director at Kuflink Bridging, said: “Kuflink Group’s success through its bridging arm, Kuflink Bridging, and the launch of the Kuflink P2P platform in August 2016, which supports a growing amount of our bridging lending, has been more successful than even we had forecast.

“The recruitment of Richard and Stuart to head up our underwriting and packaging unit as well as the arrival of Debbie and Clare to case manage new business, will help us maintain our enviable service record and provides a strong team base for further recruitment and expansion of the services we offer intermediaries. Richard and Stuart have an excellent record in the bridging industry and we are fortunate to have them join us.”
