Mount-Kilimanjaro

Brian Leppard, head of specialist mortgages and buy-to-let at Brightstar Financial, is looking for industry support for his charity quest to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in February 2013.

He is looking to the mortgage industry to help him to raise at least £5000 in aid of the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

In partnership with his brother in law, Barry, the charity means a lot personally to both men.

Both Leppard and his brother-in-law Barry, who is also to do the climb, lost family members and friends to heart conditions. Their goal to raise as much as they can to help fund research into improvements in diagnosis, prevention and rehabilitation of people suffering from heart conditions.

Leppard said: “I am hopeful that friends and business colleagues in the industry will help Barry and I reach our initial goal of £5000.

I am a serial fund raiser for BHF and I would like to think that for anyone out there in the intermediary and lender community, whether they have or just know family members and friends who are suffering or have lost people close to them because of heart problems, they might consider supporting our expedition by donating through my JustGiving page – www.justgiving.com/bleppard.

“We are nearly two thirds of the way to our target. Knowing the inherent generosity of our business contacts, I am sure we will reach our goal.”
