Key appointment for MetLife

MetLife has appointed Sue Elliott as head of product for UK employee benefits.

Elliott joins MetLife from Just Retirement where she was head of care solutions. She previously worked as a consulting actuary at Watson Wyatt/Towers Watson for eight years where she led the UK actuarial healthcare team and with M&G Re and Swiss Re in the UK and Canada.

Darryl Pye, UK product director at MetLife, said: “MetLife has an ambitious growth strategy in the UK employee benefits market based on continued innovation and enhanced service capability. Sue’s extensive experience and expertise in the market will be a major asset in delivering that strategy.”

Elliott added: “MetLife is a world-class brand with a strong and growing reputation in the UK market and I very much look forward to helping deliver further growth in a market I know very well.”
