Kent Reliance opens seven new agencies

Kent Reliance Building Society says it will opening seven new agencies as it looks to morph into OneSavings Bank Plc.

Subject to final FSA approval, Kent Reliance Building Society will transfer all of its business, assets and liabilities to a new bank called OneSavings, which is expected to become effective on 1 February. It will trade under the names Kent Reliance, Kent Reliance Banking Services or krbs.

Six of the offices are former Halifax agencies, closed at the end of last year, while one is a former Nationwide agent. The new agencies will be in Devon, Somerset, Bristol, Gloucestershire, Sussex.

Mike Lazenby, chief executive of Kent Reliance, said the move formed part of the organisation’s wider expansion programme.
