Kensington Mortgages has announced the launch of a Fantasy Cup competition for the World Cup in Russia.

The competition will be open to Kensington intermediaries, with registrations open since 31 May, and matches taking place between 14 June and 15 July 2018.

The competition will allow users to pick their own teams and keep up to date with tournament results. The team, in a 4-4-2 formation plus a goalkeeper must adhere to a budget of £50m. Players will be attributed points based on their position and their performance, with points given for goals, assists, appearances and clean sheets. Points are deducted for goals conceded and any yellow or red cards received.

Teams must consist of a maximum of two players from a single country in the group stages. Users will have the chance to transfer players throughout the tournament, with a maximum of 40 transfers allowed during the tournament.

As part of the tournament, intermediaries have the chance to win a variety of prizes, including weekly prizes for ‘Best Performance’ or ‘Best Improved’. First prize is a brand new 49″ Samsung TV. Other prizes include a Google home bundle, Sonos speaker, Fitbit Charge 2, £50 worth of vouchers, Philips In-Ear Wireless Headphones and a personalised football shirt.

Intermediaries can register for the competition at kmcfantasycup.

Craig McKinlay, sales and marketing director at Kensington Mortgages, said: “With a summer of football about to commence, we wanted to do something a little different this year to engage with our intermediaries and have some fun, encouraging healthy competition and the chance to win some fantastic prizes along the way.

“We hope to see as many taking part as possible and brokers are encouraged to register before Wednesday 13th June for the best chance to win. Good luck to all those taking part.”
