Kensington Mortgages has appointed Helen Cawthra as head of national accounts as the specialist lender looks to strengthen relationships with key intermediary partners.

Cawthra (pictured) joins from Vida Homeloans, where she spent nearly three years as head of intermediary relationships.

She brings more than two decades of financial services experience, including 10 years at Lloyds Banking Group as a business development manager before moving into national account management roles with Leeds Building Society and Accord Mortgages.

Jane Atkins, head of intermediary sales at Kensington Mortgages, said: “Helen joins us at a fantastic time at Kensington as the business continues to grow whilst maintaining market leading levels of service.

“She will be responsible for driving our national accounts agenda, including developing a strategy designed to grow and maintain relationships with some of our valued key partners.

“Her skill set will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen Kensington’s brand as the home of the specialist mortgage, while adding value to our partners’ businesses.”

Cawthra added: “I’m delighted to have joined Kensington Mortgages at such an exciting time for the business.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the UK’s largest specialist mortgage lenders and with a team which shares my values around delivering exceptional service and meaningful propositions while providing excellent support to brokers.

“I’m looking forward to working closely with our internal teams and strategic partners to drive continued growth and success.”
