Just Mortgages hosts masterclasses for new brokers

Just Mortgages is now offering brokers a masterclass course after they finish going through the academy.

The 12-week Pathway to competence course supports new brokers as they transition from getting their CeMAP to advising clients.

Designed by Just Mortgages’ training team of former brokers, the course includes a full-day masterclass session that includes advice from a lender on progressing cases and a session from on criteria.

Heidi Smith, adviser development manager and curator of the Just Mortgages’ course, said: “Investing time in our brokers as they make the first steps in their careers is a crucial part of ensuring they are successful.

“The mortgage market is a very fast-paced industry so brokers need to hit the ground running, and the first few weeks and months can be overwhelming. Our role is to ensure brokers can come to us with any questions and our course is designed to make every broker a success.

“Most newly qualified brokers were asking us about the research stage of the process and by helping them through the procedure, we can give them the confidence to flourish.”

45 brokers qualified through the Just Mortgages academy in 2021, and the broker firm has plans for more academies in 2022. The first academy of the year has completed and 12 brokers are currently going through the subsequent Pathway to competence course.
