Just Mortgages appoints sales director for client services

Just Mortgages has announced the promotion of Gareth Lowndes to the position of sales director for client services.

Lowndes (pictured) will leverage his leadership skills to develop the client services booking team and engage with advisers across the company, monitoring business sales targets and driving both revenue and protection sales growth. He will also play a key role in recruiting, developing, and retaining advisers, as well as ensuring adherence to regulatory responsibilities and best practices.

He has been part of the Just Mortgages team since 2011; based in South Wales and working closely with the Darlows estate agency business, Lowndes has risen from being a mortgage and protection adviser, to divisional sales director and on to financial services director.

Lowndes said: “I am very excited to be taking on this new role and to be part of the year on year growth in Just Mortgages.

“Expanding our client servicing and retentions business is a great opportunity for both clients and brokers alike. Our enhanced offering is a win for our clients, it allows us to ensure they feel cared for and that they can be confident in achieving the best outcome. Our brokers will be more successful and have greater career options available.

“Customer retention is widely talked about in the industry and along with the support of great technology in Smartr365, we can now grow to another level.“

John Phillips, CEO of Just Mortgages and Spicerhaart, added: “I fully believe this is one of the most important appointments we’ve ever made, strengthening the tremendous work Jess Brome and the client services team have done to expand our service and grow our business. With his skills, knowledge and experience, Gareth is the right man for the job to ensure we are maximising every opportunity, finding the right talent and always delivering that five-star service.

“With the strength of our team and the additions of new people and new technology in the form of Smartr365, there’s no question that client services will play an even bigger role in our operation moving forward. I congratulate Gareth on the new role and look forward to work closely with him in this exciting new chapter in his career.”
