Iress has appointed Steve Green as head of engineering, mortgages.

He will be responsible for leading the technical development of Iress’ mortgage sales and origination software, MSO.

Andrew Simon, Iress’ CEO, mortgages, said: “I am really pleased that after a comprehensive search process over the last couple of months, Steve Green will move to the mortgages business as our head of engineering.

“Steve was heavily involved in creating MSO – which has become the UK’s leading mortgage origination software. Over the past few years, he has been lending his considerable knowledge and skills to the task of modernising Iress’ product architecture and readying teams to adopt cloud technology.

“I’m pleased he will be coming back to lead engineering within our mortgages business at a crucial time when we’re experiencing extraordinary demand for our software.”

Green added: “MSO is a product that has always been close to my heart and, after being part of the team that originally created it, this is a fantastic opportunity to help it reach its full potential.

“MSO plays a crucial part in our clients’ mortgage operations, and their expectations continue to increase over time. As a result, we have ambitious goals for MSO. I am looking forward to fostering a world-class engineering team which continues to drive MSO forward for the benefit of our clients and the mortgages industry as a whole.”
