Investec hires relationship manager to expand City Professionals team

Published on

Investec Bank has appointed Hannah Oades as relationship manager within its City Professionals team as it looks to strengthen support for high-net-worth clients in London.

Based in the lender’s private client division, Oades (main picture, right with Peter Izard Investec’s head of intermediary business development) will manage a portfolio of professional clients, focusing on delivering tailored banking and lending solutions across mortgages, liquidity and foreign exchange.

The hire reflects continued investment in Investec’s private banking proposition, as demand grows for bespoke lending and relationship-led service among professionals with more complex financial profiles.

Meanwhile the move highlights ongoing competition in the high-net-worth and professional borrower space, where lenders are increasingly positioning around flexibility, service and underwriting expertise.

LONG-TERM CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS

Oades’ role will centre on building long-term client relationships, supporting borrowing requirements and delivering more holistic financial solutions aligned to individual circumstances.

“She brings strong lending and client management experience, and her focus on relationship management will help us deepen our support for private clients in London.”

Investec’s private banking offering includes mortgages, savings, day-to-day banking and foreign exchange services, aimed at supporting clients with complex income structures, significant assets and evolving financial needs.
