Industry titans weigh in behind charity concert

Two of the mortgage industry’s biggest names have thrown their weight behind Take Me Home 25, this year’s Christmas charity concert in aid of youth homelessness charity EveryYouth.

SimplyBiz Mortgages and Crystal Specialist Finance are the latest to join the line-up of supporters alongside Mortgageforce UK, Brightstar and Coreco, who are spearheading the City of London event on 26 November.

Organisers are aiming to raise upwards of £50,000 to help tackle homelessness across the capital.

The concert will feature a headline cast drawn from both the West End stage and the mortgage industry itself, with all funds going to EveryYouth, which works with partners nationwide to prevent young people falling into rough sleeping and to help them build independent futures.

Nearly 136,000 young people approached their local councils for help with homelessness last year, underlining the urgency of the cause.

Martin Reynolds, CEO of SimplyBiz Mortgages, said: “Simply Biz is honoured to be a sponsor of this event and its very worthy cause.

“If the music compilation is just half as talented as Ukraine Aid was, then we’re all in for quite a treat!”

And Jason Berry, Crystal Specialist Finance group sales director, added: “At Crystal we are committed to supporting causes that make a real difference in supporting people’s lives.

“The issue of youth homelessness is one that deserves urgent attention, and we are delighted to play our part in helping Kevin and his team to raise vital awareness. We are delighted to be on board.”

SELLING OUT FAST

Kevin Duffy, managing director of Mortgageforce UK and the driving force behind the event, said the response has been overwhelming.

And he added: “Only two weeks after we announced the event we are already at almost 50% saturation. We are sadly capped at 300 concertgoers as we could have filled a venue twice this size.

“And we will from 2026 onwards as this will become an annual highlight now in the mortgage intermediary calendar.

“I’d encourage any as yet uncommitted parties still interested to get in touch asap.”

With demand already outstripping supply, Take Me Home 25 looks set to become not just a festive highlight, but one of the industry’s most powerful platforms for tackling a growing national crisis.

UNITED EFFORTS

The event follows the success of the Ukraine Aid concert, which brought together the mortgage industry in 2022 to raise tens of thousands of pounds in humanitarian support.

Beyond the music, the evening will also be a powerful networking opportunity for the sector.

Last year, nearly 136,000 young people in the UK sought help from their local council due to homelessness.

Funds raised will provide direct support and prevention programmes in London and nationwide.

With general admission tickets, corporate sponsorship packages and charitable support opportunities available the organisers are urging the wider mortgage community to lend their support to what they describe as one of the industry’s most ambitious charitable efforts to date.
