HTB makes vehicle asset finance hire

Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has appointed Scott Riley as sales manager, specialist cars and vehicle stock finance in the bank’s asset finance division.

Riley (pictured) brings over 20 years’ experience in the car finance sector to the bank, having previously worked as a senior account manager for JBR Capital and Close Brothers Motor and prior to that was general sales manager dealing with Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes and BMW.

As well as working with the bank’s broker network on specialist car finance, Riley is also tasked with building relationships directly with dealers to promote HTB’s new vehicle stock offering.

HTB provides specialist car finance for intermediaries, covering hire purchase, lease purchase, refinancing and equity release.

Paul Bartley, asset finance managing director at the bank, said: “Hampshire Trust Bank is expanding its existing specialist car funding relationships as well as launching its new vehicle stock proposition.

“The bank already has an excellent reputation in the market for providing innovative vehicle financing solutions. Scott’s appointment will help us further build on this as we look to extend both our broker and dealer relationships and grow our stock funding portfolio.”

Riley added: “From my initial conversations with Paul, I could see that my extensive experience and contacts in the specialist car market would be a good fit with the bank’s plans for further growth in this area.

“Furthermore, I am excited by the challenge of being part of the development team for a new product in vehicle stock finance as well as the appeal of working with some outstanding dealer partners and brokers in this market.”
