HSBC has launched a new Mobile Banking app for customers.

It is available now on Apple’s iOS and Android devices.

Using the app, customers can:

  • View account balances and up to 90 recent transactions
  • Make bill payments to existing beneficiaries
  • Transfer funds between HSBC accounts
  • Read secure messages

The bank says further updates and features are also on the way and that the app is part of the bank’s investment in digital channels and services, allowing customers to manage their money in branch, online, via telephone and mobile.

Carl Howard, head of direct banking at HSBC, said: “We now offer our customers a simple and convenient option for banking on the move that complements the service we provide in our branches and UK Contact Centres.

“As the ways in which customers choose to do their banking change, its critical we offer customers the ability to bank with us securely, in which ever way is most convenient to them.”
