HSBC broadens its mortgage distribution

HSBC is widening the availability of its mortgages through three new brokers.

The three new brokers are Springtide Capital, Alexander Hall and SPF Private Clients.

This follows on from HSBC’s partnerships with Countrywide, which launched in October 2014, and the extension to include London & Country in August last year.

It is expected that Springtide Capital will be the first of the three brokers to have access to HSBC mortgages from 8 April. Brokers at Alexander Hall will follow in the coming weeks and SPF Private Clients will be ready later this month.

Tracie Pearce, HSBC’s head of mortgages in the UK, said: “We know the importance of providing choice and convenience to our customers; this is especially true when it comes to getting a mortgage. By bringing on three new brokers more people will have the chance to purchase their first property or move up the housing ladder.

“We would like to thank Countrywide and London & Country for the great work they’ve done already and we are looking forward to working with these new brokers.”

Jeremy Duncombe, director of Legal & General Mortgage Club, added: “We are delighted that HSBC have chosen to strengthen our partnership by extending the distribution of their products through more of our Mortgage Club firms. HSBC’s decision to partner with our members is testament to the strength and quality that Legal & General partner firms offer.

“It is great to see a banking heavyweight like HSBC increasing their presence in the intermediary market and we look forward to working closely with them as they continue this expansion.”
