Hinckley & Rugby strengthens intermediary sales team

Published on

Hinckley & Rugby for Intermediaries has announced four internal promotions within its sales and distribution team, reflecting a strategic focus on service enhancement and closer broker engagement.

The moves, which include changes to both field and telephony-based roles, come as the lender responds to increasing demand and a growing intermediary network, underpinned by recent product enhancements and rate reductions.

Lizzie Atkins has been appointed sales team manager, stepping up from her previous position as internal sales team leader. In her expanded role, which began on 1 May, she now has full responsibility for overseeing both the telephony and broker assist teams.

Atkins will report to Laura Sneddon, head of mortgage sales & distribution, and is tasked with leading the day-to-day development of Hinckley & Rugby’s internal sales function.

On 19 May, Sophie Hancock moved from her telephone-based role into the field, becoming business development manager for the South. Her focus will be on building broker relationships and offering face-to-face support on complex cases, drawing on her experience within the telephony team.

Also promoted on 19 May, Lauren Bayliss has taken on the newly created position of senior telephone business development manager. Continuing to provide frontline support to brokers, Bayliss will take on additional responsibilities including team mentoring and driving service standards, reporting to Atkins in her new management capacity.

Completing the changes is Robin Thira, who joined the telephony team on 1 May as a telephone business development manager. Thira’s promotion from business development assistant reflects the Society’s commitment to developing internal talent and enhancing broker support capacity.

The promotions come as Hinckley & Rugby continues to expand its proposition, having recently launched a remortgage product in collaboration with PEXA, alongside reductions across its Core, Fixed, Income Flex, Credit Flex and Flex Plus product lines.

Laura Sneddon

Sneddon said: “Our sales team is central to the service we provide to brokers.

“These promotions are a reflection of the hard work and talent we’re fortunate to have within the team, and each individual has shown real desire to support our intermediary partners, and it’s brilliant to see them taking the next step in their careers.

“As we continue to grow and adapt to the market, making sure we have the right people in the right roles is key. These changes will help us continue delivering the personal, knowledgeable support that brokers value.”
