Heather Small and Bootleg Beatles to headline first Sort Ball in Manchester

Published on

Heather Small and The Bootleg Beatles have been announced as the headline performers for the inaugural Sort Ball, a black-tie gala hosted by property, legal and financial services group Sort.

The event, which takes place at the Albert Hall in Manchester on Wednesday 15 October 2025, will bring together professionals from across the mortgage, legal and property sectors for an evening of dining, networking and entertainment.

Heather Small, best known as the voice of M People, is set to perform a selection of her most iconic tracks, including Proud and Search for a Hero, while the Bootleg Beatles – widely regarded as one of the leading Beatles tribute acts – are expected to provide one of the evening’s standout performances.

The guest list includes brokers, conveyancers, surveyors, suppliers and strategic partners from across the UK. In addition to the headline acts, guests will also be entertained by Britain’s Got Talent singer Nick Celino and string quartet Amba Strings.

The event will include a three-course dinner and signature cocktails, with guests hosted in the ornate surroundings of the Albert Hall – one of Manchester’s most atmospheric venues.

Sort Group has secured backing from a number of prominent sponsors for the event, including HomeSurveying, Mortgage Advice Bureau, SearchFlow, DUAL Asset and HM Land Registry.

Kevin Tunnicliffe

Kevin Tunnicliffe, chief executive of Sort Group, said: “We’re incredibly excited to announce Heather Small and The Bootleg Beatles as our headline acts. Their talent and energy perfectly match the spirit of the night – uplifting, unforgettable, and full of celebration.

“The Ball is our way of saying thank you to our colleagues, partners and friends who drive this industry forward with passion and resilience. It promises to be a night of connection, celebration, and pure entertainment – a real highlight of the year.”

Although tickets for the event have now sold out, a waiting list has been opened for those still hoping to attend. Details are available at www.sortball.co.uk/waiting-list.
