Estate agency Hamptons has raised £150,000 for mental health charity Mind since the partnership began in May 2022.
The total reflects a sustained programme of fundraising activity across the business, alongside a broader focus on mental health awareness and employee wellbeing.
Since the partnership was established, teams have taken part in a wide range of challenges and events, including the Three Peaks Challenge, marathons, skydives and local office initiatives such as bake sales. This year’s efforts built on those foundations with new campaigns introduced across the network.
Among the highlights was the Hamptons Charity Golf Cup, which raised £10,000, and the Walk and Talk initiative led by the firm’s men’s group. Participants completed 5,500 steps, reflecting the number of people who lose their lives to suicide in the UK each year, raising more than £1,400.
In July, the business launched a company-wide fundraising campaign, The Mind Games, encouraging each region to organise its own activities. With more than 85 offices taking part, events ranged from pub quizzes and sweepstakes to larger challenges, including participation in the Bournemouth Half Marathon and a static cycling challenge by the Sloane Square team, who collectively covered the distance from Land’s End to John o’ Groats and raised £3,700.
Andrew Berrie, head of corporate partnerships at Hamptons, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Hamptons for their unwavering support since 2022.
“Together, we’ve raised an amazing £150,000, helping us deliver vital services like our helplines and Side by Side peer support platform.
“At a time when we’re facing a mental health crisis, partnerships like this are more important than ever. Together, we’re working towards a future where no mind is left behind.”
Alongside its external fundraising, Hamptons has introduced additional internal measures to support employee mental health. All staff now have access to free mental health consultations, a 24-hour confidential helpline covering a wide range of issues, and counselling sessions.
The business has also established employee-led affinity groups designed to promote inclusion and peer support. Recent initiatives have included a men’s mental health awareness campaign delivered through the Walk and Talk fundraiser, alongside women’s group campaigns highlighting menopause and endometriosis.
Mary Beeton, head of residential sales at Hamptons, said: “At Hamptons we understand the profound impact mental health challenges can have, not only on individuals but also on their loved ones too, and we are determined to make a difference by raising awareness and funds for this worthy cause.
“It’s been inspiring to see the business come together to pause, reflect, and learn – while supporting such a meaningful cause that touches us all.
“As a company of 1,200 people, we recognise the significant impact we can make. This responsibility drives us to raise both awareness and funds, listen to our employees, and implement meaningful changes.”
