Guardian launches on Underwriteme platform

Guardian has announced its launch on UnderwriteMe’s Protection Platform.

This partnership further expands Guardian’s distribution reach by providing access to advice firms using the platform as their main protection quote and apply portal.

UnderwriteMe’s Protection Platform allows advisers to compare ‘buy-now’ quotes on multiple products from multiple providers and comparisons are fully underwritten

The platform currently serves 762 advice firms and more than 4,350 individual advisers. So far, over 1 million cases have been submitted using it.

Hilary Banks, sales director, Guardian, said: “We’re very happy to bring our great products to advisers using the platform. UnderwriteMe’s ambition to make the protection experience easier, simpler and faster, fits closely with our own brand promise of ‘Life. Made Better.’

“We’ve seen the platform’s usage grow quickly and it is now a preferred option for many advice firms wanting to set client expectations up-front, cut processing times and provide a fully online experience. This partnership opens up a significant strategic opportunity for us and gives more customers access to our quality products.”

James Tait, CEO, Underwrite Me, added: “We’re delighted to announce that Guardian is now available on our Protection Platform. Our brands are both committed to growing the market through innovation and making sure clients get the right outcomes.

“By offering fully underwritten comparisons, our Protection Platform makes it easier for advisers to include protection in all their recommendations, and by eliminating any underwriting premium loading ‘surprises’, it helps more people get the protection they need.”

Mark Harrington, advice director at London & Country, a firm using the platform, commented: “It’s always good to have new providers join the Protection Platform. It offers efficiency gains for our advisers who can give advice based on a wide range of products, without having to spend unnecessary time sourcing separate quotations.

“We have long been fans of Guardian’s approach to product design and this will only make the process smoother by allowing our advisers to easily compare Guardian with others. Ultimately, the already underwritten quotes should only help us to find the right protection solutions for more of our customers.”
