Gateway Surveyors to hold climate change conference

Published on

Gateway Surveyors will be hosting its inaugural ‘Climate Change Conference’ on 14 November at St George’s Park.

The firm, part of Simplybiz, is holding the all-day event to explore the critical impact of climate change and ESG factors on the built environment and lending policies.

EFFECT ON LENDING DECISIONS

The event will feature presentations from Net Zero Now, Simplybiz Mortgages, University of Salford, Enable and Groundsure, with speakers offering their understanding of how climate change will increasingly influence lending decisions and, consequently, the housing market.

“I believe the Climate Change Conference is a key platform for our industry”

Pete Hughes

Pete Hughes, chief executive of Gateway Surveyors, said: “Gateway recognises the growing importance of the issues related to climate change, and we are committed to providing valuable insights and innovative solutions to enhance environmental performance and minimise carbon impact.

“I believe the Climate Change Conference is a key platform for our industry, equally demonstrating our commitment to the journey towards sustainable growth and reducing environmental impact.

“In addition to the provision of this supporting education, we are dedicated to providing resources and solutions, not only for our lender clients, but also for the wider industry.”
