Gateway Surveyors has been appointed as the panel manager for the Cumberland Building Society, with immediate effect.

It is the latest in a series of appointments for the Derby-based surveying business, part of SimplyBiz, which saw Gateway named as panel manager for Earl Shilton in November 2020 and Fleet Mortgages in March this year.

Pete Hughes, chief executive of Gateway Surveyors, said: “We have established a working relationship as a supplier to Cumberland Building Society over a number of years and are delighted to be awarded the panel management contract. We have been providing market leading panel management services for a good many years and pride ourselves on adapting our innovative range of service offerings to suit the individual needs of our clients.

“Our appointment by Cumberland as its panel manager reflects on the hard work and dedication of our team during what has been a challenging period for us all.”

Stephen Donne, head of operations at the Cumberland, added: “We are delighted to have chosen Gateway as the Society’s new panel manager and are impressed with its innovative approach to valuation risk management, whilst maintaining the personal attention to detail. Gateway is a highly respected business with a wealth of expertise from its highly motivated team of professionals, which is paramount for our customers.”
