Credit rating agency, Moody’s Investor Service, has assigned Gatehouse Bank an investment grade credit rating of Baa3 BCA with a long-term stable outlook.

This is the first credit rating the Bank has received, with Moody’s citing a number of factors in support of its rating, including its role as a growing, leading Islamic compliant bank in the United Kingdom, its solid capital base and good liquidity profile.

Charles Haresnape (pictured), CEO of Gatehouse Bank, said: “The rating from Moody’s Investor Service reflects the strength of the Bank and our growth over the last five years. The investment rating demonstrates confidence in the Bank’s vision to continue to progress and provide innovative, ethical products to help customers realise their financial goals.

‘We are delighted to have received this recognition which is a testament to the hard work of our growing team and further supports our credibility in the UK banking market.”
