Insurance firm Fortis (Insurance, UK) has opened a second office in Tollgate, Chandlers Ford to accommodate its continued business growth and increasing number of employees.

The company, which already has over 1,000 employees based in Tollgate, has now secured office space in Turnpike House, directly opposite to Fortis’ current building. The opening follows Fortis’ recent announcement that the insurer is recruiting an additional 100 employees in the area.

The neighbouring building in Tollgate ‘Turnpike House’, will accommodate Fortis employees responsible for customer sales and service for long term insurance partner Age UK (the new force combining Age Concern and Help the Aged).

Barry Smith, CEO, Fortis UK said: “The additional office in Chandlers Ford will provide a fantastic home for our employees and supports our plans to continue to grow in the UK. The quality of people working in the Eastleigh region is very high and we are delighted to be increasing our commitment to the area as a major local employer.””
