Specialist lending distributor, Fluent Money Group, has appointed Steve Strickland-Wright to the newly created role of group chief technology officer.

Prior to joining Fluent, Strickland-Wright (pictured) was head of IT at webuyanycar.com for three years and led a number of initiatives, focussing on the improvement of both online and offline conversion in addition to a number of efficiency savings across the wider business.

Strickland-Wright was also part of the leadership team that helped the business maintain consistent double digit year on year growth during his tenure.

Strickland-Wright previously held a number of positions across the Moneysupermarket Group, working closely with digital marketing, subsidiary Travelsupermarket and all aspects of the group technology function.

He will report directly to chief executive, Kevin Hindley.

Hindley said: “We are delighted to welcome Steve to Fluent Money. Technology, through the adoption of the cutting edge applications it brings to support our business, is one of the foundation stones on which our proposition to customers is built.

“Steve’s role is to continue to help us innovate as a leader in our field, providing and improving the IT platform which enhances our team members’ ability to maximise their skills in support of customers, while making the Fluent Money customer experience as simple and rewarding as possible.”

Strickland-Wright added: “I am very excited to have the opportunity to develop Fluent into a truly digital broker while at the same time improving operational performance and the customer experience.”
