Fleet Mortgages, the new buy-to-let and specialist lender, has revealed the first six firms that will distribute its products through when the business launches next month.

The distributors will be offering Fleet’s range of buy-to-let mortgage products to their affiliated advisers and members and are: The Business Mortgage Company; The Buy to Let Business; Mortgages for Business; The Mortgage Trading Centre; Professional & Commercial; and Solent Mortgage Services.

The products will be available to clients including professional landlords, limited companies and those seeking finance for Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs).

The new lender says it has agreed terms with these six firms but is also in negotiation with a number of other distributors which it will announce shortly.

Bob Young (pictured), Fleet Mortgages’s CEO, said: “As an intermediary-only lender the quality of the firms we partner with is vitally important to us. Therefore our intention is to engage and build relationships with firms who absolutely ‘get’ what we want to achieve with Fleet Mortgages and want to establish a true partnership.

“These six businesses are immersed in the buy-to-let sector and have a real understanding of the needs of advisers and their clients within this space. Therefore it seems completely right that they are the first distributors we have agreed terms with and they will be working with us right from the outset.

“We will have a ‘soft launch’ of our product range through the distributors announced today however it is our intention to bring on board new businesses within a very short space of time and be available to the entire marketplace soon after.

“We are in the process of finalising our product range and will shortly be able to share these details with all stakeholders as we move towards our launch next month.”
