Fleet Mortgages has added Legal & General Mortgage Club to the list of distributors that will have access to its products from launch.

The club, which is the largest and longest running mortgage club in the country, will initially offer Fleet’s range of buy-to-let mortgage products to its appointed representative, Nouveau and MAB firms when they are launched in mid-November, but expect to roll this out to other key account firms and the wider directly authorised market shortly afterwards.

The Fleet Mortgages product range will be tailored to experienced landlords and property investors and will also target a number of buy-to-let areas which it believes are currently underserved such as loans to limited companies and finance for Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs).

Legal & General Mortgage Club join Fleet’s distributor panel which currently contains six other firms announced last week. Fleet is also in final negotiations with a number of other distributors and further announcements will be made shortly.

Bob Young, CEO of Fleet Mortgages, said: “It is very pleasing to be able to announce Legal & General Mortgage Club as the latest distributor to join the Fleet Mortgages panel. We’re well aware of Legal & General’s strong and influential position within the marketplace and the quality of its business, and are therefore particularly excited to bring them on board pre-launch.

“We remain on schedule to launch during November and this new arrangement and relationship means most Legal & General Mortgage Club members will have access to our products from the start.

“We are looking forward to announcing our product range in due course and are working closely with our distributor partners to ensure our products, criteria and service levels are not just fit for purpose but of the highest standards.”

Jeremy Duncombe, director at Legal & General Mortgage Club, said: “We are very pleased to be able to offer our members additional choice, particularly in the buy-to-let sector.

“Fleet Mortgages will be able to add to our already strong panel with new and innovative products, and we look forward to working closely with Bob Young and his experienced team to ensure that we add value to our members.”
