Fleet Mortgages expands distribution

Directly authorised (DA) members of Legal & General Mortgage Club will have now have full access to Fleet Mortgages’ product range.

Fleet Mortgages’ products, many of which are aimed at experienced landlords and property investors, are now accessible exclusively to all members of Legal & General Mortgage Club, the largest and longest running mortgage club in the country.

The club is one of seven firms currently on Fleet Mortgages’ distributor panel. It is to further open up distribution to the whole of the broker market during the course of the first half of 2015.

Last month, following distributor feedback, Fleet Mortgages announced the launch of new lifetime tracker products and a number of price cuts across its range, particularly for limited company and houses in multiple occupation (HMO).

“Our intention has always been to open up our distribution throughout the year and we are extremely pleased to announce that DA members of L&G’s Mortgage Club now have access to our product range,” said Bob Young, chief executive officer of Fleet Mortgages.

“It has been incredibly important for us to ensure we do this in a controlled manner as our service levels and standards need to be kept high as we make further moves towards engaging with the whole of the broker market. The relationship with L&G has worked incredibly well and therefore we felt it was the right time to make this next step. Our recently announced pricing changes and new products have certainly gone down well with our existing distributors and we are looking forward to working with those DA firms who will be able to access us for the first time.”

Jeremy Duncombe, director at Legal & General Mortgage Club, said: “We are delighted to open up access to Fleet Mortgages for our entire Mortgage Club distribution, following a successful launch with our tied distribution in January.

“Fleet Mortgages has been very well received so far, and its products have proved popular, so we’re excited to be able to allow all DA firms to have access and take advantage of the strength of Legal & General Mortgage Club’s lender relationships.”
