First direct cuts offset tracker rate

First direct is today cutting the rate on its 65% loan to value offset base rate tracker.

The rate will reduce from base rate plus 2.18% (currently 2.68%) to base rate plus 2.08% (currently 2.58%).

The direct bank, which has around 1.16 million customers, is making the change at 3pm today.
