Finova unveils AI-driven Broker Assist tool to streamline broker queries

Published on

Finova has launched a new conversational AI agent designed to help brokers access lender policies and criteria more quickly within its lending platform.

The cloud-based mortgage and lending software provider has introduced Broker Assist, a tool aimed at improving efficiency for brokers using the Finova lending platform by providing real-time access to lender-specific information without requiring users to leave their existing workflow.

The system is powered by conversational AI technology from Covecta and allows brokers to retrieve policy and criteria guidance through a fully authenticated interface.

By removing the need to search documents or switch between systems, the tool is designed to help brokers resolve queries more quickly and submit more complete applications.

The launch follows Finova’s partnership announcement with Covecta in January and represents the first live deployment of agentic AI within Finova’s lender platform.

Unlike generic AI tools, Broker Assist relies on pre-configured agents built to understand how brokers and lenders operate. The system enables brokers to self-serve policy and criteria questions without contacting lender broker support teams.

Finova said this approach allows the AI to provide responses that are more accurate and relevant to real-world lending workflows.

For brokers, the tool is intended to provide faster access to policy information and clearer guidance, helping them identify suitable lending solutions for borrowers and complete applications more efficiently.

For lenders, Finova said the system could support improved application conversion rates while reducing rework for underwriting teams and lowering volumes of calls and emails to broker support and contact centres.

The company said that by improving the quality of applications at the point of submission, lenders could streamline origination processes and enhance operational efficiency across their broker networks.

Rowan Clayton, chief product officer at Finova, said: “Broker Assist is about removing friction from the broker journey. Gone are the days of slow application times and costly rework.

“By putting conversational AI directly inside the Finova broker portal, we’re helping brokers get the answers they need faster, submit better-quality applications, and ultimately deliver better outcomes for borrowers.

“This is a great example of how we’re turning emerging technology into real, production-ready capability for lenders and brokers. In the coming months, we will continue to dedicate time and resource to streamlining and improving every aspect of the broker experience.”

Scott Wilson, founder and chief executive at Covecta, added: “This launch shows what’s possible when agentic AI is deployed within workflows.

“Broker Assist gives brokers instant, trusted access to lender-specific knowledge, while helping lenders reduce operational burden and improve conversion. We’re excited to see this capability live within Finova’s platform.”
