Equity Release Supermarket (ERS) has finalised its management team with the promotion of Graham Evans to the role of head of compliance.

Evans spent 15 years with Aviva in its retirement planning division, before joining ERS two years ago. He will oversee the expansion of the supervisory and adviser structure, to complement the demands of the expanding equity release market.

ERS provides brokers with a whole of market service and has developed a new interactive website, which will become the focal point for client research tools, product information and the latest deals.

Mark Gregory, ERS’s managing director, said: “Graham came to us with a comprehensive knowledge of the retirement market and has been invaluable in ensuring that we have crafted our service to ensure the best outcomes for all of our clients.

“With Graham now appointed as head of compliance, we are looking to him to provide the vital leadership which will be a major factor in helping not only ERS meet regulatory requirements both now and in the future, but also assist us to do our part in establishing the equity release market in the minds of brokers and their clients.

“In 2016, our aim is to provide brokers with the knowledge and confidence to understand where equity release can present a viable alternative source of funding for the growing number of clients who are 55+ and looking to improve their lifestyle.”
