Equifinance promotes Kieran Park to chief operating officer

Second charge lender has promoted its chief technology officer to chief operating officer as the business looks to build on recent growth.

Intermediary-focused lender Equifinance has appointed Kieran Park as chief operating officer, expanding his responsibilities within the business as it continues to develop its presence in the second charge market.

Park (pictured) moves into the role from his previous position as chief technology officer, where he has been responsible for overseeing the lender’s systems and technology strategy.

He joined Equifinance from Mortgage Engine, where he served as chief technology officer for two years. Prior to that, he spent almost six years at Shawbrook Bank, most recently as head of innovation and delivery, leading the change and IT delivery team supporting the property division across residential and commercial mortgages.

The promotion comes as Equifinance seeks to strengthen its operational structure while continuing to invest in its broker proposition. The lender said Park has played a key role in the design and rollout of new systems aimed at improving the broker interface and overall user experience.

Under the leadership of chief executive Tony Marshall, the business has grown its position in the second charge sector over the past 11 years, with a focus on intermediary distribution.

Marshall said: “Since Kieran joined the business, he has demonstrated a level of dedication and professionalism that has helped Equifinance grow and expand.

“The company is now in a position to build on those strong foundations and Kieran will play a huge part in our future success.”
