Enra Group makes senior appointments

West One Loans and its parent, Enra Group, have made a number of strategic appointments to their senior and management teams.

Stephen Hogg joins Enra Group as chief operating officer, following six years at Metro Bankm where he held a variety of roles, including commercial director and operations director.

At Metro, Hogg was responsible for building Metro’s mortgage lending platform, taking total balance sheet lending from £63m in 2013 to over £5bn, at a run rate of around £100m per week. He also built Metro’s asset purchase team, acquiring over £2.2bn in loan assets since 2015.

Prior to Metro, he worked in private equity and credit funds, building and growing non-bank lending and servicing businesses across Europe. Hogg spent seven years at Oakwood Global Finance which funded the creation of both Edeus and Pepper Homeloans, and where he led the design of Pepper’s UK loan servicing systems.

Phill Tyson joins West One Loans as underwriting risk manager from Shawbrook, where he was head of credit – residential mortgages.

In addition, Michael Grant has been promoted to head of sales – bridging and development finance and Chris Harrison has been promoted to underwriting team manager. Both have been with the West One since 2014.

“Phill has an impressive background and will be able to support the growth of our lending business. We pride ourselves on a having a common-sense approach to underwriting and Phill will help us continue in that vein.

“I’m pleased to see Chris and Michael do well and progress into more senior positions.”
